Sky’s the Limit Training Academy (previously known as the KZN Taxi and Commuter Corporation or KZNTCC) is a Non-Profit Company (NPC) established with initial funding of R 24 000 000 from the Toyota SA Siyaya Refund Programme. In this regard KZN took the lead in the taxi industry in SA by setting up such a company.
The company has 10 directors 8 of whom are nominated by Santaco-KZN after their elections every four years. The other 2 directors are independent directors who are appointed by the Members of the Company. The Chairman is Mr Boy Zondi and the Vice Chairman is Mr Gerald Ferror. The company has effectively been operating since 1 February 2009 and employs a Chief Operating Officer Mr Vincent Bulala, a Training Manager Nompumelelo Msomi and two Executive Directors (Mr Gerald Ferror and Mr Jeffrey Ngobese) who run the day to day affairs of the company.
The company makes use of contractors to assist with major training projects as required. The company owns a property in Durban from which it operates and where board meetings are held. In addition STLTA owns 12 other buildings at various locations in KZN.
STLTA’s Business Plan was approved by Toyota SA and the company was formed with the blessing of the then Minister of Transport Mr Jeff Hadebe.

Since 2014, training has become the major focus of the company and the name of the company was changed in 2021 to reflect this reality. The many training projects that STLTA has undertaken are detailed elsewhere on this website.
